Hi,

I got the POTA VCD from Eurekamovies and it looks crappy on my Bush 2004/A DVD player. The film plays all the way through but the quality is poor. What I get is a perfect picture which gradually degrades with increasing blockiness over a few seconds, then back to perfect again - repeated all the way through the film. It is most noticeable during dark scenes (which is most of the film).

Anyway, I tried it on my Dad's old Philips CDi player and it looks great - none of this blocky rubbish. So then I tried it using PowerDVD on my PC - result: crap. But when I used Windows Media Player it was good.

Apart from POTA, all my other commercial VCDs are fine. Well, Dr Dolittle 2 had some of the same problem but it wasn't too bad. POTA and Dr D 2 are both from Fox. Maybe the problem lies with their encoding. Could it be Macrovision related? Any ideas???
