I have many concert DVDs, such as the Moody Blues. I prefer using a Mac, but could use a PC. What is the easiest way to make an udio CD of the concerts from a commercial DVD ?
It seems that no single program automates the process, and it's time consuming.
Is there a good program on each platform which at least produces 320 bit rate single AIFF individual files which them can be burned with Nero or Roxio Toast to form an audio CD ?
Friends tell me Vegas for the PC and Handbrake for the Mac are jnot user-friendly nor efficient.
Thank you.

DVD Audio Extractor is probably the easiest in Windows (together with AnyDVD if you want to rip from commercial DVDs).

AIFF is a Mac-ism that has no real meaning on PCs. Your best PC equivalent would be a WAV file.
Here's an old guide that I've used to do this kind of thing:

It's not as difficult as you might think, but the first one you do this way will be slow going.
Baldrick's suggestion is a good one. DVD Audio Extractor is probably the best user friendly tool for this if you don't want to do it the manual way.
