    New user to SVCD2DVD v2.5.3600 (WinXP SP-2)
Problem when trying to add text to titles. I've gone thru the on-line help and can't find the solution.

Click the Add Text button and the Text Editor pops up.

There are NO Cancel or Apply buttons on the Text Editor so I can't add text to the menus. Strange that those buttons should be completely missing. I need help fixing it.

    Thanks

Well I downloaded and reinstalled a fresh registered version and still no Cancel or Apply buttons in the Text Editor.

Could it be possible I'm missing a setting or something? Can someone help please?

Perhaps someone can recommend a similar program that is kept updated and actually works as advertised.
I've been trying to add titles to Transport stream .TP files and burn to DVD with Menus. This program is buggy and impaired.

Big mistake paying for this program.

I should have stuck with the free HDTV2DVD

  4. No need to be nasty. You have to show some patience to get help, addressing your question is not our only obligation in life. You waited a whole 12 hours - wow.

What are your monitor resolution settings?
Does your text editor window appear to have room at the bottom to display the buttons if they were present?

    Thanks for your reply.
Sorry I knew I didn't wait long enough for a reply but this is getting rather frustrating. I just spent a month carefully reformatting my computer making multiple backup images and changing driver versions trying to get everything working correctly. Previous Catalyst versions actually turned the SVCD2DVD on-line help wmv a nasty red smear and I couldn't even see the demo.

It took me 2 days to find out about and download Windows Media Player classic 6.4.9.1 just to get the Menu preview working. Time I don't really have.

    To answer your questions.....

I'm using a VisionTek ATI Radeon HD2600XT with latest ATI 8.1 Catalyst drivers on dual monitors.
Main monitor LCD @ 1680x1050 and Sony HDTV as secondary @ 1920x1280.

The Text Editor doesn't have enough room at the bottom to display the buttons. It looks like the white (enter text) area is extended down a bit too much.

    Thanks
    Conrad

  6. What are the settings for your font sizes? I have similar display settings to you with normal fonts, I'm betting that is where your issue is.

    Dwight,

You just won your bet. Fonts were set at 150%.

At 96dpi the Text Editor displays the Apply and Cancel buttons correctly. The only problem with that is the fonts are too small to read without hugging the monitor and squinting. Not good for a Home Theater PC used from across the living room with BlueTooth Wireless devices.

At 120dpi just the very edges of the Text Editor Apply and Cancel buttons are visible but they are functional.

Perhaps if the author updates SVCD2DVD in the future using larger system fonts sizes can be taken into acount. Until then I guess I'll have to get some binoculars to read text on the screen.

Thanks for your patience and help.

Conrad... I will make sure that dialog box adhears to the larger system fonts.

In the meantime - as you consider it was a big mistake getting SVCD2DVD - drop me an email and i will cancel your registration and refund you ASAP.
