    I have an Imation External Burner that will no longer burn dvd,'s. It reads ok. Can anyone help on what maybe the problem

    Aside from the fact this is not a restoration question . . . . . .

    There are separate lasers for reading and burning. Chances are yours simply has died and will no longer burn. You could try cleaning the lens to see if it helps, but burners are now a commodity item. Use them until they break, then replace them. I suggest that it is not time for you to replace yours.

    Might I also suggest you consider a better brand next time ?
