  1. Hi!

I am having an issue when I goto to turn my files into DVDs. I am not sure this is the right place to ask or not but here goes:

I have no problem converting my AVI's or other files into and MPG and keeping the size(ie 640x480 stays 640x480). My problem is when I goto make it into DVD I get the options to do normal 704x480, 720x480, 352x480, & I believe 352x244. I have normally use Ulead DVD Movie Factory 6.0 Plus. But I have tried NERO and TMPEnc DVD Author. I am wondering if there is a program that will let me use the custom size or do I need to go back to a past version of Ulead DVD Movie Factory(I do believe one of them let me use a custom size). Thanks for anyone's time and answer!

  2. Hi,

If you go click on the "What is DVD" link over on the left of this page:

    https://www.videohelp.com/dvd

you'll discover that only a few very specific resolutions are allowed for DVD. If you have a 640x480 AVI needing conversion to DVD, then choose 704x480 and encode for 4:3.
