Printer just stops if I add image, picture to page.

I am using NERO - copy design for printing template for printing DVD covers.
After years of 100% working now as soon as I insert an image on page (usually .jpeg), the printer wont load and print.
If I leave the page blank or type info on the page using custom designs it works and prints it.
As soon as I load an image picture no matter how big or small it just wont print anything. Does not even show printer on bottom toolbar like when it's priting. No error or anything . Just nothing.
Computer is custom made and an HP printer only. Has been working fine for years and I usually use a custon made cover design. But now it just stops the printer if I add a picture. I have two-way communication and no errors. It just acts like I did not click print.
Any ideas on what to try to clear the problem would be greatly appreciated. If need more info just ask.

mmmm? i did used Mutli cover print before and that was good but i cant find the link. but i did find this http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/DVD_Cover_Printmaster_22950_p/ works the same as MCP.

I'd guess something wrong with a printer driver setting.
Step through all the printer properties and see if anything looks suspicious.

If that doesn't help, in the printer settings try creating a new printer, same drivers etc, under a different name and print to that.

You dont even deign to say how the printer is connected? with win98 its possible its parallel/centronics rather than usb? try re-printing some of your old designs..SOunds like a PC setting to do with your jpgs.. isnt there a test page you can print? Like the BBc test card?

Rdog yes w/98 and older printer it's parallel not a usb hookup but already done what you suggested. Not a problem w/ computer and jpegs.
i didnt explain this too good I guess. It's one of those have to experience it to know what is going on.
Just could load and print a .jpeg and other pics. one day and could not the next. No changes to system. Sounds simple but how to fix may not be.

You must have changed something .. or your Kids did.. However .. if you follow these instructions you should be ok.
1 Purchase new Acer PC with XP or Vista
2 Purchase new printer & usb lead /OR install addin parallel card
3 install Nero 8
4 get printing.

Check the print q to see if your jobs actually finish or is the printer "queueing up" all your print jobs??

So the solution is to buy a new computer and printer and XP/vista and Nero8 just because I cant currently print a picture on a DVD insert?
Hey pass some of that this way...
I think I'd better buy two just to be sure.
But seriously I wouldn't take XP or vista if you gave them to me.
I'll be running 98SE till the wheels fall off.
I'll get it fixed as soon as my guru neighbor gets back from two month vacation if not before. So no long worries here.
