Hi guys, can anyone comment on the TBC capabilites (if any) of the DV2001 (firewire analog to DV device: http://www.questronix.com.au/products/dv2001.htm)?
The bottom line of this page: http://www.questronix.com.au/info/info_tbc.htm seems to suggest some capability, but it's not mentioned anywhere in the unit's specs - wondering how much it would do for me.
I've got a lot of old EP VHS tapes to capture and just a standard JVC VCR (SVHS decks are impossible to come by here in Aus). I'm tossing up between this and a dedicated TBC (eg CTB-100) to help reduce the number of dropped frames I'm getting. Note that none of my tapes have any copy protection, so this isn't a consideration - I'm looking at a TBC to improve the capture quality only.
Thanks,
Mick
