    $40 per ink cartridge.
No estimate of how many DVDs you can print per cartridge.
A pretty heavy cost for the printer.

Why would you use it rather than an inkjet printer?
Certainly is faster than Lightscribe but no one really uses Lightscribe anyway.

  2. I like the idea of it but its kind of steep. Also, although Dyno has been around a long time, I got burnt a few years ago on Xerox inkjet printer so I am leary of companies that haven't been in the game long.

Tiger often has the HPs that can print onto disk (5000 series I think) for under a $100 and ink is about 30 bucks so I would look that way for a dedicated CD/DVD printer.

    My 2cents.

If you click on the cartridges they sell for the unit, the page says:
One color ink cartridge that prints around 100 discs.
    (Depends on the settings.)

This is an inkjet printer. It just uses a radial print path while the disc is spinning. I have seen one demonstrated. The printed discs look pretty good but not as good as as my Epson R260. My impression is that it's a cutie-pie gimmick - spend more, get less.

That's 40 cents per disk. More than the cost of media and case. Not for me.
