Samsung DVD-V9700 Play DVD+DLs?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have a Samsung DVD-V9700 upconverting DVD player and VCR combo unit? Does it play DVD+DL discs? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Most DVD players can handle recordable DL media. My first DVD player (ironically a Samsung circa 1999) plays about everything that I've put into it.

Surfmaster - You'll just have to try and see. I have known of DVD players that won't touch burnable DL media. I have a friend who has such a player. It plays single layer DVDs fine, but it just stops cold on the layer break of DVD+R DL discs and I use Verbatim only for DL media, so it's not a media problem. My very limited experience with DVD-R DL discs (if you can even find them anymore) is that they don't work very well at all on some players.
