Fix for skipped frames?

My friend said that there is a new update for Quicktime. 7.3. He says it addresses skipped frames issues. But when I checked, the only one I saw was the 7.3.1 update and it has nothing to do with fixing skipped frames. Am I missing something? I checked again today and there is no other update available at this time. What the heck do you think he is talking about?
