  1. I heard it was in the registries... but me and registries don't mix well.

What kind of delay? What mode?

  3. I dunno, I just got this card a couple days ago. If I hook this up to a console, because of the hardware recording (which is an awesome feature) it delays the button presses on the console game significantly. I heard you could reduce this delay by editting the registries.

Delay is present in all encoders and all computers. To record gameplay, you split the output from the console to the TV and computer (recorder) and watch the TV.

Yes, but not to the point where you can play a game using it. edDV is correct - you need to split the TV signal out to a TV.

Go to the "Tips and Tricks" section, enable Live Preview.

It works for the 350 and 250. Not sure about the 150. I suspect you'll have to manually search for the "LivePreview" key rather than use the REG files the site provides. There will still be a little lag, but not the usual 1 or 2 seconds.

Note that the 150 card has a completely different chip set from the 250 and 350 models, so jagabo's tip may not work, and he suggests this possibility. It's worth a shot, but since he may not know that the 150 uses a different chip set, I thought it was worth mentioning.

  8. I'm pretty sure the tip at Amontillado's site does not effect the hardware -- it effects the WinTV2000 software. It just tells WinTV2000 not to buffer up a few seconds of video before displaying it.

Even so, I think the actual location of the flags in the registry changes from version to version so he will likely have to find the registry key himself.
