Installed R260 Epson, and the print CD keeps recognizing my old R200

Hi I installed the complete CD of the R260 drivers and programs, it overwrited my old EPson print CD program and started asking for a DLL, I got the DLL from a DLL sownload site, and the program runs, but it doesnt let me choose the R260 printer, it still recognizes the old R200 printer and it wont let me print!

any help? please thanks!

I have a similar setup but my installation added the R280 instead of overwriting the R200 setup. If you followed the instructions included you should not have had this problem.

Now it seems like you'll likely want to uninstall the old R200 (and likely the R260 as well) to get back to a usable baseline and re-install the R260 from there.

Hi faramith,

Actually you need to get to a clean slate then you can install and use BOTH printers. On my setup, the one printer driver setup did not clobber the older one, so I have both Epsons installed and configured.

You just need to clean out your system and start with the R200 then install the R260, as per the instructions. That should get you up and running with both printers.

oK uninstalled both printers, followed instructions on how to install the R260, Print CD software says: "The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed"

Ah, OK - Try installing the R200 first, print a test page to make sure it works then shut down and restart your machine. When it comes back up install the R260 and then try its test page to make sure it works, then go back and test print something on the R200. That should make things easy.

pd: I have family in Arecibo, Utuado and Ponce, and my wife's family is from Collores in Juana Diaz. I love that beautiful island and cannot wait to go back next July!

Well right now im not installing the R200, im trying to make the R260 print on CD/DVD using the print cd software, thats where the error occurs, it prints fine on paper it wont let me on CD / DVD. Print CD software says: "The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed"

Are you at WinXP SP2? If not Epson strongly recommends that you update to that service pack level before installing their Print CD software.

When you unistalled both Epson printers (I'm assuming the printer drivers), did you uninstall the Epson Print CD software as well? I don't believe that the Epson Print CD software is uninstalled if you remove the printer drivers. So to get a clean base you would have to uninstall both printer drivers and the Epson Print CD software.

Does anyone have a link or copy of the software that I can download.
