So do you always click yes when you register software or buy something online?
Sometimes I do sometimes I don't. If its net heavy software than I'll probably sign up for updates to stay current. But if its something I won't be using constantly than I usually click no.
How about you?

Sometimes, but I use a secondary email for most registrations so I will probably miss the newsletter among all the spaaaaaaaaaaaaaam .

How often do I sign up for them? Never. That doesn't mean I don't still get them. In most cases they are poorly written articles full of useless information and even more useless links.

Never, and I uncheck all those 'offers'. I also use a secondary email address that I can 'dispose of' if it get over spammed. Never use your primary email address

Rarely. Usually it is only if it is for something I have purchased and really want to be kept updated.
I find that about 1/4 to 1/5 of people who download our software choose to complete the registration forms.
I get huge amounts of spam on one of my accounts (currently about 100 "enlargement" ones, 100 re-fi ones and various others each day) - but it is the price I pay to be accessible to potential clients.... -
Rarely here too, by checking that box you have no idea what else you're signing up for. There's a few things I'm signed up for such as Google news alerts, phpbb update mailing list and few others but thats about all.

I find that some of the newsletters offered by companies in my line of work are quite helpful. I always have the option to scan and delete or never open (and delete). 8)
