I know you use html coding but that is all i know. I tried putting it in the body of my message and sending it and all i am seeing is html tags. I created a hotmail, yahoo and gmail account to get it done and it would not work at all.

How do I get this done?

It's not much different than a webpage, but you have to use an email reader that supports html. Outlook for example, disables html by default as a security risk. I don't know that any of the free email sites you listed allow html within the mail browsing window.

When creating your email in Outlook Express, click view>source edit. This puts tabs on the bottom of the composure. Now click the source tab and insert your html. You can then click the preview tab to see what's happening. If using images, include the full path to your image (http://mysite.com/img/cat.gif)

Not including the full path to the image is one of the biggest mistakes people make with HTML email. If they use a relative link to files on their system, it will work fine - but only on their system. The relative links mean nothing on anyone else's system. All you get is a bunch of boxes with little red X's in them because the links cannot be found.

Or: compose your message and save it as a .eml file.
Close Outlook Express, open Windows Explorer,
double-click the .eml you've just created, send.

  6. Don't forget that not all your subscribers will be able to view the HTML - either because of their email software or because they don't want to.

Consider giving each subscriber the option to receive HTML or plain text OR send both formats in the email.

...or just include a link to an online newsletter page in the email by simply typing www.mysite.com/news.html

All clients now display HTML and have for several years

If that is a test email you are sending yourself I'm going to take a guess the email reader you are using either has html disabled or doesn't support it and is not rendering the html but instead just displaying it as plain text. As already mentioned is the biggest problem using HTML in email.

Use a PDF progy like Adobes..Or get a free one..Google it...
Nearly everyone has the 'Acrobat Reader' in their PCs, so they can read it.
Doing Newsletters is far easier useing a PDF..
