  1. Hello, I finally got my LG 47" display to work on DVI>HDMI without overscan! But now I have another problem.
First, to get my TV to display the video from my PC, I have to first switch the input on my TV to the HDMI input before I boot the computer. After it boots up into Windows it looks beautiful with all it's digital DVI glory. However, when I switch the inputs on the TV and switch back to the HDMI input that the PC is connected to, I get no signal and the only way to display my desktop again is to reboot the PC. I have confirmed that this problem is from the PC and not the TV as I have connected my computer monitor to the PC. When I unplug it and plug it back in I get no signal and must reboot. So it is the PC/video card that doesn't want to display. The video card is an ATi Radeon x800. Is there any way to make it keep displaying after I switch display inputs on my TV?

    I have a similar problem with a radeon 9800pro dvi2hdmi.

When I shut the tv off and turn it back on I lose the signal to my tv set.

I figure it is the graphic card which as a problem "waking back up" on the tv out side.

I have no solution, but I do have a trick I use instead of rebooting, just go into standby (S3) and wake up from S3. The display will comeback.
    Refuse and resist.

  3. If you want you can buy ATI Radeon XT2600 PCIe 16x.

It works pretty good for me on vista and xp.
It also support pass through AC3 5.1 to your HDMI and HDCP
I can play all 1080P without a problem over the network

    Good luck

Nice trick, that works! I just memorize some keystrokes since I have no display. Windows key > U > enter > S. Good temporary solution but there's got to be a way to stop the video card from "falling asleep" after disconnecting/reconnecting... still this is much faster than rebooting. Thanks for the tip!
