4 1GB VOBs - how to make a dvd?
I was trying to copy a dvd using Nero but it failed on the 5th vob which was only 350MB. I then was able to copy, to the hard drive, the first 4 vobs each 1gb using dvddecryptor.
however to burn to disc was a problem as it was looking for the 5th. How do I use something to trick it to think there is no more 5th vob? IFoedit?
also, what if I pretend I have 4 raw 1GB vob files, what is the best freeware to make a dvd with menus, titles and chapters?

Unfortunately you have no idea about how DVDs are authored, or you might understand why this won't work.
The DVD spec says that no single VOB may exceed 1000 MB in size. Obviously some videos are larger than this, so during authoring the VOBs are split into parts, and numbered in order. In your case, 5 VOBs were required to hold all the video/audio/sub-picture information. Throwing away the final 350 MB VOB is probably also throwing away the last 20 minutes of your Video, or half an episode if it is a TV show disc.
If you want to get this disc completely copied, you need the whole thing. Personally, I would start with DVDFab Decrypter, then try ISOPuzzle if that fails. It you can't get it all then you can't create a complete disc.Read my blog here.
