  1. wow!! My first newbie post
    DVDit!! ver:2.5
OK, I have ripped my dvd to my hard-drive with smartripper,
I did it in such a way as to get an m2v video and an ac3 audio
I know dvdit cant read ac3 files, so I followed a tutorial as to change it to a wave file with ac3decgui.exe, all went fine,
I droped the m2v in to a button on dvdit and also droped the wav file in the same button, and played it back, it play's fine, only problem is the audio is slightly out of sinc with the video, ??? I tried 3 diffrent dvds and
get the same problem, I thought dvdit was the kiddie, untill now, Or am I doing it all wrong.
It seems a very fast way of doing thing,s and my dvds even work on my ps2 now, but its the sound thing that makes it all go up in flames,,

or is there a much easier way to do this??

    Thx for reading this

    I haven't exactly tried this, but here's a thought:

Try muxing your wav with the m2v file into a new mpeg.
If the sound is in sync after that, just use that as your source file.

  3. Cheer's LEEBO

Only problem with doing that is it demuxes the sound out of my mpegs, I get them in the button and it all looks nice, but when I write the disk, it says demuxing audio, I want it all to go in together, Seems crazy to me why the program cant just leave it as it is, but it has to be seperate files
Sound n video, and if there not it will seperate it out and its gone from my working copy, ANyone know a way round this, maybe a registry key or sumit, I can stop it demuxing, especially as there mpeg2 files, they should work as is,

    Wait a minute!
It's been a while since I've used DVDit, but it dosn't do motion menus or motion buttons. Is that what you're trying to do?

Have you tried the forum for DVDit over at sonic.com?

BTW, a DVD requires vob files, which is probably what DVDit is trying to make when it de-muxes your mpegs.

  5. Well DVDit PE has it's moments. It should be called DVDit PMS.

As to the .ac3 DVDit PE will take 2 channel dolby only and nothing more.

I'm not clear but are you saying that after DVDit muxes the vobs into a "dummy" dvd folder the audio is out of sync? Or after you've burned it to a disc.

Also I'm assuming your talking about DVDit PE 2.5 and not MyDVDit.

  6. Yes DVDit PE 2.5

Maybe there's a patch or sumit to tell it to read the ac3, it says its got to many channels and when you convert it to a wave it goes outa sync,
    only slightly,
Why cant it just say, hey would you like me to convert this ac3 to a 2 channel format, lol

SO come on sonic, sort it out, this is supposed to be a dvd program, why cant you make it read ac3 5 channel sound, it should be called svcd only he he

just wanna burn me cd, I brought a rw dvd disc today, to save me spending the mint on loads of coasters, least i can format it and start again, I will sort it in the end lol
