  1. I did all sorts of search and read soooooo many guides and i can't seem to find what works best.

I just need to know the program or decoder or whatever i need to transfer all my raw videos to "NORMAL" standard mpegs that i can play in windows media player, dvd or vcd or any of those other fomrats that have been causeing me problems!! also the settings to set to get best possible quality.

I have always used divx for all my compression needs and am not a complete newbie to this stuff but if i have all my movie clips in divx, premier doesnt work with them properly (no sound and works slow).
so as a result im gonna convert all my 20 gig of raw video clips to mpeg which premier works well with....so please offer any help you can!!!!!

    THANKS!
