  1. Hey, I'm just looking for a good backup program that's good at recovering any type of format, but divx files would be the most important right now. I have a hard drive that pretty much crashed, so I need something that can recover a corrupt partition (or a formatted Hard drive). If anyone knows any free tools, trails or tools you have to pay for that would be great! Thanks!

    any file recovery software should be ok. divx is saved as a normal file.
    cnet is usually save to d/l from. pick some you like and try them.

  3. ANd dont save to the disc you are recovering from .. And have a backup next time (yes I did)

    ...and restore one file and try playing it before restoring the whole disc/partition. It pretty much sucks to spend hours restoring the files from a HDD and then find out all of the restored files are corrupt and unusable.
