    Dear Forum
    I downloaded above program to watch dvd on my laptop. However upon trying to load the laptop the star media center program stated a "decoder" is needed on my pc.
    Please can some kind soul identify for me what I need also to help me know how to install it if possible.

    Get a dvd mpeg2 decoder like Dscaler MPEG Filters or use a dvd player with built in mpeg2 dvd decoder like Media Player Classic or VideoLan.

    Thank you for this I will try them out but because I like smc I will try dscaler decoder you recommend. ARe there please any other decoders (freeware) that also do the job
