  1. I wanted to put a movie on a memory card, is that even possible or would you have to convert it to such a low quality that it wouldn't be worth it? I work night shifts and have a lot of down time, don't have the $ for a portable dvd player but I do have a palm pilot and some memory cards laying around.. also, if it can be down what would be the best program to turn a dvd into a decent format down to that size? thanks!

    I have a PSP.

I convert movies and tv shows for use on its memory stick pro duo all the time.

I use PSP Video 9 to convert to the necessary format (MP4). It's free. The movies end up being about 300 - 400 Meg.

Hope this helps you get started in the right direction.

I also have a PDA that I used to put smaller avi's on to watch out of the house. So it is possible.

The first step is to find out what file format(s) are supported by your palm pilot. It would also be helpful to know the supported resolution and bit rate. This information should be listed/noted in the user manual.

After you know the final format, you can browse the HOW TO - Convert section. Just choose the source format (DVD in this case) and the destination format (whatever your player supports). You should then end up with a list of guides to use to get you started.
