  1. Hi,
I know this is probably mentioned loads of times on this forum, but i'd like a definative answer if it's possible.

1.)Is there a CCE pluggin for Premiere 6 and how much does it cost?

2.)Using the above software which would give best quality for encoding DV avi's to DVD-R at the highest possible settings?

3.)Can anyone tell me how to set up these progs for best possble end result? (for tmpgenc i use the link on this forum best DVD-Pal)

4.)When i use ligos or ulead to encode there are some strange fuzzy outlines ie- When the camera pans around there are some fuzzy lines, then when it settles on a person, if he is a black suit there is a fuzzy outline around . If there is a black painted wall with white circles there are fuzzy lines around them too.

    Is this motion search setting?

I'm pulling my hair out trying each of these with different settings... which will do the best job?

    Thx

  2. 4) When I use Ligos for "playback" of MPG2 it does not handle interlaced video well. I haven't had any problems using it to encode and then burn an SVCD for a DVD player. Not sure if that is what you are seeing but basically you would see odd lines shifted one way and even lines shifted the other ... making high contrast edges fuzzy.

  3. If you're using the LSX plug-in for Premier (not the LE (light) version), you can select [load] on the settings tab during the export set-up and pick a pre-configured DVD-quality encoding set-up. These enable variable bit rate, motion vectors, and other features that make near-hardware encoder quality. It will take longer to encode but the results are great.

The Ligos encoder used in other products is the GoMotion encoder and you have no control over it. They use settings for "typical" content and always produce fuzz and blur to encode faster or make smaller files.
