While i was searching a region hack for my Sharp DV-SV90S i found this for Sharp-DV740

Save the file as CREGIN.TXT. ...
Burn to CD-R as ISO9660 Mode 1(do not use DirectCD).
    Insert in player.
    .
To make my player region free i must do a little other way which doesn't worked that i think is the format in which i writed the file needed to change the region of my player.

So , what i mean to tell , in what mode i should burn the CD and which program is the best to use.

    Thanks

Most burning apps will do it ..... just select burn data disc and check settings are set to iso9660 mode 1

Although i fail to see how burning a text (.txt) file to a cd will change the region code of your player .... i suspect that this is some kind of con ... hence why it didn't work

    Hi!

Did ya get it work? 'cause I have similiar problem.
Few days ago my dvd-player worked fine and today it says "wrong region" with every dvd I put inside.

"menu 1 3 5 7" show the region code and it is Ł (L with line cross it) ? What is that?

And the .rom file didn't work with me either.
Is the file broken or something?

    Any help?
