    hi guys i have a question. i start using sony vegas version 7 but when i open an avi file there is no sound.Do you know y?

    Is there sound when you play the avi in question with SW player? VLC, or MPC....
    Drop file in Gspot......see what gives....

    but its not for one avi.it is for all avi files that i have no sound

    As I stated before DL'd Gspot and open any avi, see what codec you need...
    Also DL'd and install ffdshow...

    Is it only in Vegas? What happens in Windows Media Player for example?

    what do you mean in media player.It opens normally like when i watch a movie.the problem is tht when i open it for editing it has no sound neither it has the soundwves below the images.

    btw i have k-lite codec pack.
    maybe i i download another ver. of vegas it may works?
