    I have captures which have horizontal distortion stripe which height is 8 pixels. Its located between 553-561 so I would rather not use cropping. I played with Photoshop and Healing Brush corrected the faulty area very nicely. So the question is how to do something similar for video files?

    Maybe one of the logo filters from VirtualDub would work? http://neuron2.net/logo/logo.html or http://neuron2.net/delogo132/delogo.html or http://www.compression.ru/video/logo_removal/index_en.html

    After Effects now has the clone and healing brush from Photoshop adapted for video work. You might be able to use the demo version for this one off project.
