Has anybody got any ideas what I could do: mpg2 file recorded via video card on PC. Edited in pinnacle Studio 9 plus.
As there were many brightness changes, I created mpg2 file from edit ((software suggests that somewhere) otherwise I have found it to fall over in the process of making file for DVD) and brought that back into Pinnacle before adding menu.
sound was out of sync, so re-alined. Fine playing in Studio but when creating DVD, sound is out of sync
As before I have adjusted the bitrate from best till it fits on a normal DVD (about 75% quality 6000)
The project is a church event with a run time of about 1.5 hrs

    Welcome shones

    Out of sync "where"

    A: Pc play back
    B: Home dvd player

What is audio format used ?
Use mediainfo or gspot to determine mpeg2 internals .

Stay away from MP2 , some players have issues with it .

    Thanks for your reply.
I've tried both, Dolby and mpeg1 based option in Studio.
Sound and video output are in sync on PC preview etc, but not after I have created the VOB files (create disk, create content don't burn to DVD yet option).
When I create a DVD it's out on dvd players of any kind, also out if playing big VOB file from pre-DVD creation.

I'm just trying something else - will post result

I've got exactly the same problem... did your 'something else' work and if so what did you do?

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back. Finally I managed to get this problem sorted:
A friend of mine recommended AVS video converter. Converted the before made mpg2 to mpg2, moved the old version to a place away, so Pinnacle Studio would ask for it and offered the new version. Everything fine. Though as I was a little greedy to get the highest possible quality of a 1.5 hr movie on a normal disk, I only had 6 seconds to spare - a little more is better (I had to make all 5 copies via Studio, rather than on a copier, as it wouldn't read all of the master disk).

    Hope this is helpful info.
