l have a Linksys wrk54g model which l used till recently with a linksy notebook adapter card in my toshiba laptop. Anyway the toshiba laptop had a motherboard fault so l bought a new packard bell laptop which has wireless enabled so l dont have to use the adapter card anymore. The problem is the linksys router picks up the wireless laptop but after so long it loses or says limited connectivety and a yellow tri-angle next to the wireless icon in taskbar, this even says this when it says l have a good signal.Everytime this happens and it will happen everytime l shut down and start up again l have to switch the modem and router off and back on to get a signal. This never use to happen on the toshiba laptop. What could be the problem and how to sort it out please..

Thats not a problem with your wireless connection. Its in the properties of your connection in windows.
If you go into the control panel and then network connections, right click on your wireless connection icon and go to properties. Somewhere in there you will see an option that says *something like* "notify me when I have limited or no connectivity." Uncheck it. Its just windows being silly. -
l'm on windows vista premium and l have looked into properties and there is no option to untick for limited or no connectivity....

Oh my bad. I was assuming windows XP. My apologies.
I have zero knowledge of Vista as I havent used or barely even seen it. I will have to defer to one of the uber wizards on this site.
Sorry about that ...
