I haven't had problems ripping dvd movies as svcd, but now I'm tryng to rip x-files episodes, and when I play the svcd on my home player, I get "tremors" on the image, not always and that happens in both static and non-static sequences of the movie. Looking for help, I think that the problem is that tv-series are INTERLACED, on the contrary movies use to be NON_INTERLACED and that's why I haven't had problems before. (Previosly I ripped the first season of Sopranos as vcd without problems)
To solve that problem I use on TMPGEnc the DEINTERLACE FILTER, but I'm not satisfied with the result.
I heve a few questions
- It's right to use that filter to solve that problem? or there is another way?
- How do I configure that filter? Odd-Field, Even-Field, Double...
thx a lot for your help
btw I always work with PAL dvds
