  1. Yes I was wondering what the complete settings to create a svcd. Everytime I try to burn to nero, it tells me that my settings are off and to try to convert. I try to convert and it still will not play in my stand alone dvd player. The only cds that can be viewed in my player are cd-rw.

  2. The setting of mpeg2, 480x480 at 2000kpbs should be fine.

You can tell nero to do "none compliant AVCD".

I think you going to get stretech picture problem.
You nned to process the mpeg2 file with two more steps to make "really" compliant SVCD.
You need to use TMPGenc's VBV-buffer option to realign the VBV-buffer.
You also need a patch program "fix12c.exe" to embedded the 480x480 V and H size info in the mpeg2 file.

It still depends on what DVD player you have. I have a pioneer with no problem to play any X-S-VCD with R-W-CD-ROM.
