I have Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and Audition 2.
I am compiling a DVD (PAL) in two stages.
Stage 1: Process captured video from Cam, transfer and edit through Premiere Pro 2 - export into a VOB file, then import into DVD-lab PRO 2.
Stage 2: Compile a MPEG file slideshow (6 slideshows) from photos with a mp3 file for sound for each slideshow. Export into a VOB file, then import into DVD-lab PRO 2.
My problem is, i am trying to equalise the audio for both stages. The audio for stage 1 is, on average, much louder than for stage 2, but not for all mp3. I would like the audio level to be the same level for both stages. A sample burn and play, needs user interaction to lower the volume on the TV.
I am not totally au-fait with both apps listed at the top, but enough to output VOBS.
Any suggestions?

Thx - I looked that keyword up in help
I think it is called Clip Gain in Premiere Pro and i will keep you posted.
When i attempted A test clip gain on the CAM footage, it set itself to 5.9db and on the mp3 it was 1.3db.
Is there a happy medium as a standard, or is it based on age and deafness of the compiler? -
Convert the MP3 audio to .WAV.
Once you get your camcorder footage to MPEG format, demux the audio into Audition (File>Open Audio From Video) and save it as .WAV. In the same instance of Audition, open the slide show .WAV audio.
Control Click both files and then "right click." Click "Normalize" and it'll do it for you. You will need to set your normalization parameters.
Convert all the normalized .WAV files to AC3 and author.
Make sure everything's well in synch before you start. If all goes well, when you do finally remux the whole works as you author, you should be in good shape.
