I am building a new PC and buying 2 new SATA DVD writers. I have been using LG burners before and although the READ speed is slow, they are overall great burners.
For the new PC, I am thinkng to buy one Pioneer-212D and one LG-H62N. What do you think ?

I have the LGH62L, PIONEER 212 & SAMSUNG 183L which are all great burners. I've had instances where the SAMSUNG 183L drive is able to read discs that are scratched. Also you may want to check out the SAMSUNG FORUM at Cdfreaks.com on the latest 20x SAMSUNG 203B. If I remember correctly there is no riplock on the drive so read speed would be fast. The PIONEER 212 drive is not able to booktype to dvdrom for DVD+R media yet. I'm waiting on "THE DANGEROUS BROTHERS" to come out with a hacked firmware for that.

This is why I am buying 2 burners. The Pioneer wil be used to read CD/DVD and burn CD. The LG, with booktype setting, wlll be used to burn DVD.
