  1. Hi everyone,

I understand that Canon printers no longer allow generic cartridges to be used in their machines -- I have an European version of Pixma IP4000 -- but what about refilling the original Canon carts? Specifically, has anyone tried Walgreen's new inkjet refill service? I'm wondering if I can save a few bucks by re-filling the carts. If anyone has any experiences with it, please share.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. It just might be worth it for you considering it cost $15 for color and 10 for black . My wife is a store GM in RI and she has told me that theyre actually doing more ink refills than developing film on certain days. If you own a business you can save even more money on the refills. Im very sure Walgreens has a legal contract with all the major cartridge makers since they have the money to throw around and not want to go to court for being sued over copyright issues.

I remember reading last year about a court ruling that invalidated the concept of trying to use copyrights or patents to prevent refills, so Walgreens may not need any agreements at all to do this.

  4. I just read this and checked out their site. I wonder if it's $15 per color cartridge or $15 for all color cartridges.

    My point exactly.

That's why I asked if it was per cart or for all color carts (aka 5 carts)
