  1. I have spent the last several hours trying to capture a VHS video. I'm using an AverTV Studio card and I haven't had any problems in the past until now. I'm using Virtual VCR because that seems to work well with this card but when I try to capture at 640x480 using the Huffyuv codec the video plays back slow. It works fine when capturing at a low resolution like 352x240 though. I also tried using iuVCR but still got the same problem. I just can't figure out what the problem is. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

    Here's my system specs:

    P4 3.0C
    Abit IC7 Max3
    Seagate 7200.10 320GB
    ATI X800XL
    OCZ 1GB Ram

Depends , you say you have had no problems in the past , so it can only be three things .

    A: Capture device at fault
B: Tape is of commercial variety (macrovision)
C: Tape is old , causes issue with capture device unable to stay connected to input

You should really be using the capture software that came with the device , or nero express's capture ability , if you have it , both perform in the same manner where frames appear to drop , but has no affect on final outcome .

You'll find the product for the studio , second last , from bottom of this page :
