I recently bought a a Panasonic AG DVX100B and the Prem Pro CS3 (prev. I have done just a little video work with MovieMaker and a smaller Pan. camcorder - somewhat of a novice). I just started capturing clips in PPro via Firewire and invariably at the end of the clip capture there is a VERY loud rapid fire static for about five to nine frames or so - ending with video of a frozen or slightly stuttering final frame. Some times there is a slight pop at beginning of capture but this is rare. I have a Dell Dim. 8250 Pentium 4 - 2.8 Gig processor with 2Gigs of ram. Radeon 9700 Pro video card (latest drivers) and just installed a brand new Sound Blaster XFI sound card. I spoke with Adobe about this and they thought it might be sound related hence the new sound card install....otherwise they didn't have any idea about this.
I can of course trim this noisy stuff off the end, but I sure would like to to know just what exactly is going on...any help would be much appreciated. A sample of the sound is attached as avi file.
