need a working region hack!

I have bought the Philips dvdr 3575H recorder and need the region hack for it. I saw one here but it doesnt work. Am I doing the steps wrong? Any help is appreciated. TY

Have you tried both of these methods:

(ensure no disc is loaded)
press <home>
Press <play/pause> 159121212005_ _ _ fill in desired code here (255 for free) followed by <play/pause>





Region code hack posted by CALPE, December 21 2007:
1. Turn on the player from the front panel (without a disc inserted)
2. Press HDD List on remote and ensure Hard Disk is highlighted
3. Press PLAY
4. Enter 159 121 212 005 255
5. Press PLAY
6. Turn the player off

In the first example this code should be used 159121212005255 (the author was not so clear aboyut I thinks)

I haven't heard of a working hack for the 3575. I've seen several people quote this hack, but no one has had luck. The best suggestion I've read is to NOT hack the expensive 3575, and just buy a inexpensive DVD player(that is hack compliant). That's what I would do anyway.
