I used pcgdemux to extract the subtitles from a dvd that I made before, but I have a hard time finding a software that converts sup to son (graphical format).

I do have the original source, but dvdmaestro gives me an error (corresponding framerate does not timecode) when I converted the vobsub using subrip to son.

  2. Hi-

I don't use Maestro, and don't know the reason it doesn't like your SON files created by SubRip. You can make them another way, though, by using SubResynch from the VobSub package. Load the VobSub and save the SON file. Maybe that'll work better. There's a chance I didn't understand all that you said though. You can get SON files out of SubResynch and out of SubRip. If one doesn't work, try the other.

I know of no way to get them from a SUP file directly.

I already tried using subresynch to convert from vobsub to son but it still give me the same error. But I did solve the problem, by outputting my video file in 30fps. Subrip seems to output my subtitles in 30fps when I convert it to son.

If anyone, can output the subtitles in 29.97fps in subrip, then please let me know!

  4. Try setting the Drop Frame flag:

I already tried that method and I did not see 29.97fps in the subrip settings, but thanks for asking!

  6. Drop Frame makes it play at 29.97fps. Like I said, I don't use Maestro (maybe you should try something else as well), so my guess is you're doing something else wrong, like maybe not making 4-bit BMPs or something else. Anyway, see if anything in this thread helps:

I thought this one was a little peculiar, but maybe there's something in it you'll find useful:

    Maybe here:

And this DVD Maestro guide has explicit instructions about how to get the SON file properly using SubRip:
