RCA as a company went out of business in the 1980s.

RCA as a brand name is now used as a budget brand by Thomson of France. They tend to use volume consumer distribution (e.g. K-Mart, Wal-Mart, etc.) and the products usually are manufactured in Asia..

Sometimes the products are good, sometimes not. Don't expect high end performance. Your main recourse is your trust in the vendor to take it back.

Read as many reviews as you can before purchase.

I've written about this unit many times. It is an excellent unit, but only when you do not use the built-in tuner. I use mine with a cable box, which uses the s-video input.

What are you wanting to do, exactly?
