Convertxtodvd and ffdshow

Will convertxtodvd work fine with just ffdshow installed or do i still need divx or xvid. Since ffdshow handles divx and xvid why install them i if i don't need them. or do I?

none of the above.
ConvertX uses the ffmpeg codec library.
it would work without any of them installed.

generally you don't need anything else with ffdshow installed.
