Hello. I tried downloading the avidemux program from the link given from videohelp.com:

    Avidemux_2.3.0_plus_win32_installer.exe

was the name of the file. It did not download. Maybe a broken link? In any case, the file was 4 kb and I tried deleting it from my computer. It keeps saying the program is being used by another application and to close the other application and try again. I seriously do not know what its problem is because it is not being used to my knowledge. I never even clicked on it when I saw the file size. I rebooted, tried to delete, same thing. Any ideas? thanks.

You must have a downloader that immediately resumes in case the connection is broken.

Try deleting it in safe mode .

Browser or download manager running may prevent deletion .

Also hijackthis includes an option to include a file , targeted for deletion upon reboot .

Try Process Explorer to kill whatever has a handle open on it. Should then be able to delete it.

    Hi,
After you get rid if it you should try AviDemux 2.4 Preview 1 or the the latest Preview 2, Version 2.3 is getting pretty old which is probably why the link is funky.
