  1. Hi all
I usually use VirtualDub but somehow it doesn't work with MPEG4V2 files? Is there a way around?
Here is the message that I get: Couldn't locate decompressor for format "MP42" (Microsoft High-Speed MPEG-4V2). I use virtual Dub 1.4.7 (I also tried Virtual Dub 13c that use to support asf files if I am not mistaken). The os is win2k.

    Thx

  2. Download this from MS. It's the current MPEG4 and Direct Show codec package.
    Only 734KBs.

    Download http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediatech40/Install/8.0/WIN98Me/EN-US/wmpcdcs8.exe

    And the link is http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=31921&area=search&ordinal=2

I'm capturing VHS with VDub and MPEG4 V2 (installed as above) and having no problems.

    Hope this helps.

    Martin.
