I have a photo of a ballerina posing with her hands straight up.

When I print it out as a 4x6 I get the tops of her hands cut off and the bottom of her ballet slippers are cut off (in the printed image. The original scanned photo has all of her hands and feet plus a bit more space).

How do I get rid of this so it prints out her entire body? I have fiddled with InFanView for hours with no result or change.

Assume I am a compleate idiot and walk me thru this one, please.

Assuming you can see the full image in Irfanview, then the problem is more likely in the printer settings. What kind of printer do you have? What options are available and how are you setting them?

Irfanview "Help" describes the print options:

    Print
Option buttons select how the image will print.

Best fit to page puts the image on the page as large as it can, without altering the dimensions/ratio.

Custom allows you to print the image with specific size. Type in the desired change: width, height and left/top margin in cm or inches.

If "best Fit" is cutting it off, then you probably have the wrong page size spec in the printer setup.

Adjust that to 4x6, or use the "Custom" setting in Irfanview print options to reduce the print size.
