    I've been trying to find a solution to this problem, but no avail.

    I am trying to convert some video I exported from iMovie into an MPEG file readable on DVD players. The file I exported is a DV .mov file and is 16:9 PAL.

    When I try and convert it to a MPEG file, it does it successfully but for some reason the video never stays in 16:9. It gets squashed into the middle of the screen making everything look out of perspective.

    Can anybody help me out please?

    Did you set set Autosize to DVD 16:9?
