Hi,
I have a DVD created from a DVD recorder that I've copied to my hard drive, and I would like to play it using wmp9 on win2k. Specifically, I would like to play the file "VTS_01_0.IFO". Windows Media Player Classic is able to play it, but I need to have it work under wmp9.
Does anyone know what I have to download and install in order to make this happen?
Btw - the VOB files contain mpeg2 video with mp3 audio.
Thanks!

I finally figured out the answer to my own question. What I wanted to do was to tell WMP to start playing a certain title from a DVD - in particular, from a DVD stored on a drive.
The answer seems to be to use the wmpdvd protocol:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb249723.aspx
e.g.: wmpdvd://I/2
to start playing title 2 from the dvd on drive I. -
No offense, but if your original request stated what you were really trying to do, you may have gotten better response.
