  1. Okay, I've been going through and trying ALL kinds of templates and settings (for TMPGEnc), and to be honest with you, it takes a long time for me to get some samples. Well, I figured that instead of the countless hours it will take me to figure out which is the best combo for both VCD and SVCD, I thought I'd ask all of you and ask if you're all willing to share. All I want to know is what is your preferred/favorite settings (and templates that you use [w/settings]) to produce your VCD's and SVCD's. The more that participate, the better chances I (and others) have of success, so I do greatly appreciate all who contribute! Thanks, and please help me out.

That would depend on your standalone DVD player. I have a GE 1101p, which accepts all kinds of media, and xVCD upto 4000 bit rate.

I'd be happy to send you my template for NTSC and NTSC film, but no promise they will work for your player.
