    I have a G5 with the standard Sony DVD RW DW-U10A burner A43h. Can someone tell me what brand DVD-R is best?

    Verbatim. It's Apple's official recommendation and, in fact, seems to work best for me. The "silver tops" (the ones usually going for about $25/spindle of 100 at BestBuy, etc.) work fine.

    Verbatim, Taiyo Uden, Apple's own brand are tops and work well.

    I don't have an apple but i would believe any of the quality dvd-r medias would work fine.
