See the column at the left hand-side ??
Click on "DVD backup" and read as much as you can

If you then have any specific questions, come back and ask them

    Good luck
    Don't worry.......we'll be alright...

Well, it's not that simple. It's not hard if you spend a little time on it, but that is up to you.

    You need

    A DVD burner
Some ripping software (RipIt4Me, DVD Fab Decrypter, AnyDVD)
Something to reduce the size of the video if it wont fit (DVD Shrink, DVD Rebuilder)
    A DVD burning application (Imgburn)

Aside from AnyDVD, all the applications I have listed are free.

    The basic steps are

    Put disc in drive
Rip with ripping software to your HDD
    Reduce size to DVD5
Burn results to your blank disc

All the details you need are in the guides associated with each tool. If you look in the tools section you will find guides listed under the tool details.

What guns1inger said. It would also help to tell us if you are trying to make a backup DVD or creating a DVD from your own material.
