Using auto-progressive in Pioneer DV-434 video setup causes (interlaced) SVCDs to be played in progressive mode (but not regular DVDs) as if they were anamorphic DVDs, and I have to switch to interlaced mode to view them and then switch back every time I watch an anamorphic DVD. Is this a known problem, or is there an extra setting, other than interlaced output, in encoding the mpeg file. VCDs are also played as progressive when auto-progressive is used.
