Recently there have been a few threads started, including by me, concerning new DVD recorders and the absolute absence of any decent units with hard drives.

to see discussion on the AVS Forum concerning new recorders that are slowly hitting the marketplace. All seem to have ATSC tuners, but none output HiDef signal to your TV, plus other pros and many cons.

Personally I am sitting out this new roll-out. I have enough ATSC tuners (bought cheaply at ebay) that I connect to my DVD recorders currently and essentially give me the same and more than what these new machines do.
