Hello. I know some people say that Philips media is rubbish but i've never had a problem with it until now. I have a NEC ND-3530A writer in my computer and have been using Philips dvd-r discs that were made in Taiwan and have this media code (FUJIFILM03) according to DVD Decrypter. I have had no problems with these discs but I was getting low so I bought some that I thought at first glance were the same but with different coloured packaging.
The new discs are also Philips dvd-r but made in India with a media code that reads ( MBI 01RG40) and will not burn with my writer. I use Sonic Record Now to burn but i've also tried to burn a disc image using IMGBURN and also tried using Nero to burn to them too. Nero just said "illegal disc".
Could the different media codes be the problem or has anyone got any other suggestions.
Thanks.
