I have a question. Is 352x480 dvd, in the official specs of dvd? Will it play in ALL players that play 720x480, and also play dvd-r of course? How much worse is the quality? I have hundreds of tv shows on official dvd's(friends, er, x-files, sopranos, etc.), and I want to convert them to dvd-r so I can sell the originals. At a lower resolution, you can encode at lower bit rates without getting pixelation. I want to fit shitloads of eps on a single dvd-r without haveing pixelation, which is my reasoning behind the different resolution. If anyone knows a good site explaining this, then also point me in that direction.

352 x 480 is NOT DVD Standard.
DVD is : 720 x 480 NTSC
720 x 576 PAL
There is a tutorial listed on the Home Page of This Site for puting 480 Minutes of VCD on one DVD-R And I think one for (S)VCD too. -

352x480 MPEG2 is a DVD standard, although not commonplace among commerical DVD's.
